Free Printable Teddy Bear Scavenger Hunt Game

Free Printable Teddy Bear Scavenger Hunt Game from B.Nute productions
Send your party guests on a fun Teddy Bear scavenger hunt at your Teddy Bear Party/Teddy Bear Picnic with this free printable Teddy Bear Scavenger Hunt map/game.

Teddy needs to find his den, and it's each guests' job to help him. Set up a small (or large depending on age of the crowd) obstacle course/hunt in your yard, house or party space and get searching.

How to Play
Create a "course" in your yard or your house with the 7 "stops" or locations on the map. At each location, you can have the guests either do the activity or if it's a very young crowd, they can pick up a "souvenir" or trinket from each spot. Here are some ideas for each location:

  • Pick Some Berries - At this spot you can have some real or pretend berries that they can find/gather and put in a berry basket or eat!
  • Find a Picnic Basket - Once they find the picnic basket, have them look inside and pull out a trinket to show they have been at the basket-- It could be a paper napkin, or a "sandwich" or some other picnic type item.
  • Catch a Fish - You could play the old fashioned game of catching a small fish toy with a magnetic fishing pole... or just have a bucket of toy fish the children can reach into and take one.
  • Climb a Tree - Climbing a tree may not be appropriate for certain ages, but you can set up a little space the guests can "climb" on (i.e, soft pillows, a backyard play structure) to act like the tree.
  • See a Hiker - Either have a person pose as a hiker, or put a small picture of a hiker hidden somewhere where the guests have to spot.
  • Eat Some Honey - Put out a little cracker and honey for the kids to nibble on. If the guests are too young to eat honey and/or do not like it, you can put a substitute sweet or a few "honey" flavored teddy grahams to nibble on.
  • The Bear's Den - Create a nice cozy area to act as the den. Set up blankets, and pillows and fun place to tumble and play.

Now start setting up your hunt and have a beary good time!

Free Printable Beer Tasting Score Card and More...

Free Printable Beer Tasting Score Card from B.Nute productions
A Beer Bash just wouldn't be a real bash unless there was some good old fashioned beer tasting going on! Here are the perfect free printable Beer Tasting Score Cards to help you and your guests rate the best.

Don't know where to start to guide your guest on "how" to taste and rate beer? I've rounded up a bunch of sites below that have some great cheat sheets to help. Print out some of their info, and pass it around the party-- so guests can decide just how huge the head is, or whether or not they indeed taste a hint of licorice or maple syrup!

  • RateBeer Beer Tasting and Rating Sheet - This sheet is mightly complex for an everyday Beer Bash-- but it does offer loads of terminology and hints to help the everyday taster.
  • Beer Tasting Wheel - Perhaps purchase a Beer Tasting Wheel or two, and have those around the party so folks can refer to them for ideas when scoring.
  • Beer Evaluation Sheet - Here's another rating sheet that offers some hints in a few categories; Appearance, Aroma, Flavor, Mouthfeel, Finish, General Impressions. Perhaps categorizing will help your crowd.
  • Ladder Tournament for your Beers - Ever thought of holding a ladder tournament for your beer tasting? Here's a sample "Beer Cup" ladder tournament hosted in New Zealand. Perhaps you can create your own based on the beer theme you are serving.

Hockey Party Games and Ideas

Hockey Party Games and Ideas from B.Nute productions
Whether you are heading to the rink or staying home, here are some Hockey Party games and ideas sure to entertain your rowdy hockey fans!

Hockey Party at the Rink
(Note: Depending on your crowd, you may have novice skaters and some advance. If that's the case, for some of these games, you may want to break up the group depending on their skill/confidence level.)

Hockey Drills-- Get the kids moving with some good ol'fashioned Hockey drills.

  • Have them skate from one end of the rink to the other.
  • Have them skate with a puck from one end to the other.
  • Have them weave in and out of cones (with and without a puck)
  • Have some simple passing between players across the rink.

Hockey Relays/Best in Show
Have some hockey contests to get the kids having fun:

  • Longest Shot - See who can shoot the puck the farthest and make it in (no goalie).
  • Most Faceoff wins - Pair the kids and have them do faceoffs... see who wins the most.
  • Best Trick shot - Have kids be wacky and show their best trick shot.
  • Relay race of teams through cones - Set up cones and divide party into teams. Have each skater weave in and out of cones with puck, then pass to the next team member. First team to finish wins.
  • Relay race between teams of passing - Have the each team spread out evenly down the rink. Have the first skater (stand still) and pass the puck to the next. Have kids pass the puck all the way "down the line" and back. First team to finish wins.

Off Rink
Some kids will get tired and cold and may need a rest. Set up an area off rink with hot cocoa and snacks. You can also have a few games or activities for them to play as well. (See my Free Printable Pin the Teeth on the Hockey Player and coloring page post for more details.)

Hockey Certificates
Make sure to award your players with fun certificates at the end of the party. Make up silly awards to keep it light hearted and less competitive if there are varied abilities at the party. (See my Free Printable Hockey Party certificates and tags for details.)

Hockey Party at Home
Having a Hockey Party, but not heading to the rink? No problem, there are many ways to bring the rink home for some hockey fun!

Hockey Decor - Hockey jerseys, sticks, NHL logos, etc... Get out all your hockey gear and use it to decorate around your party space to set the mood. Have a poster on the front door with your hockey fan's rink name.

Hockey Game Reruns on TV - with the volume off, have some old hockey games playing on the TV in the background to set the mood.

Jumbotron - Decorate your TV like it is the Jumbotron at a professional hockey game. Print out some fake (or real) advertisements on to paper, and mount on to cardboard. Put the ads above and below your TV... then have a camcorder feed into your TV and film your fans as the come to the party or during cake! They'll love watching the replays too.

Broom Ball or Street Hockey - Head out to the driveway, cul de sac, or basketball court at the local park for some broom ball or street hockey. If the kids have rollerblades, let them skate, or just have them in sneakers for the fun. You can play many of the relays and games mentioned above (under ideas for the rink) as well.

Air Hockey or Foosball - If you have a air hockey table, great... if not, look into renting one and/or an arcade hockey game to keep the theme going!

Pin the Teeth on the Hockey Player and Coloring Page - You can also have a few games or activities for them to play as well. See my Free Printable Pin the Teeth on the Hockey Player and coloring page post for more details.
